Dr. Jennifer B.
Kahnweiler conducted two workshops in July this year at our
annual regional conference in metro Atlanta. One session
addressed effective networking and the other focused on
intergenerational communication. During each, Dr. Kahnweiler
demonstrated the ability to connect with her audience through

As an Executive
Assistant to the president of a $5 billion community bank, the
"Managing Up" session offered a myriad of ideas both for me
personally, as well as for the office in which I work. I am

Kahnweiler Awarded Outstanding Career
Practitioner Award
 Jennifer B. Kahnweiler, Ph.D., owner and principal consultant of
AboutYOU, Inc. a career consulting firm in Atlanta, was presented
the Outstanding Career Practitioner Award by the National Career
Development Association (NCDA) during the NCDA Annual Convention
held June 22 –25, 2004 in San Francisco.
This award is designed to recognize practicing career counselors,
consultants, or teachers for outstanding performance in day-to-day
service in the area of career development. NCDA’s focus is to
promote the career development of all people over the life span.
Kahnweiler received the award from her peers because she has devoted
her professional career to guiding individuals and organizations in
transition, including many Fortune 100 companies and Federal
agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security.
“At a national conference a few years ago, I was concerned about an
upcoming job interview. Although other professional colleagues
listened to my concerns, only Jennifer sat down and talked me
through the entire process including a mock interview session!
That’s Jennifer, a season career practitioner who is committed to
helping all people with their career process”, said Julie Miller,
Ph.D. former NCDA Executive Director who nominated her for the
award.
